Overworked.. (plus a short review of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter)

I haven't been blogging lately, mainly cause I'm always on the go or I've been so tired that I haven't been able to do so!

Oh my goodness I really need to stop working myself to death, I'm currently running a fever and I still cannot stay still and rest. So right now I'm currently speed-blogging so that I can catch up on my shut-eye. ANYWAYS, I actually finally found the time to go have lunch with a friend of mine yesterday and believe it or not I even managed to squeeze in some shopping time. Ok, so I shopped mainly because it was convenient to do so, BUT hey at least I've got some loot to boast right?

So here's what I got, they're mainly from Konad though. *sheepish grin*

Clockwise from top: Konad Double sided stamp set, design plate cleaning kit,
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in Peach Parfait (L) and Cherry Tart (R), Konad Stamping design plates,
Konad Special Polish in Black and Dark Purple

Vera Wang Preppy Princess EDT 50ml

Hehehs, I'm kinda happy though. LOVE the perfume (I've been eyeing that for some time now) , I think it's the best out of the Princess perfumes that Vera Wang has, followed closely by Rock Princess... That's about it, I don't like any of the other Princess Perfumes!

Okay so here's a close up/ review of what I bought.

1. Revlon Lip Butters SGD$15.90 each

Cherry Tart's the red shade while Peach Parfait is the pinky shade

LOOK AT THIS COOL PHOTO I TOOK. HAHAHA LOOKS LIKE A GLOWING LAVA LIPSTICK

In a nutshell:

The Revlon Lip Butters are pretty affordable and the pigmentation is not bad, considering that they are more like a balm product than a regular lipstick. Because they're pretty sheer, the brighter shades are perfect for people who are bright lippie vigins, sheer, but they do pack a punch, so there's no need to worry if the colour can't be noticed because they are definitely obvious. They can last about 2-3 hours on me, but once you start eating or drinking it wears off, which is normal. The consistency of the product is rather thick compared to lip balms like lipsmackers, but they are really comfortable on the lips.  (NOTE Cheery Tart is actually less of an orange and more a bright pinkish
red) Packaging wise, I do like how the quilted appearance looks and that it is actually coloured according to the product. What I find a nuisance is how the cap covers almost the whole tube instead of halfway down like most lipstick tubes, so I need to use more force and I'm deathly afraid that I'll someday just damage the product inside. Also, when the lip butter is being retracted into the tube, the side of the product will scrape against the tube, so it is kinda messy.

However they are pretty good, I will definitely purchase more and repurchase. I rate this product an 8/10 :)  But I really really like my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine more than these!

So what do you think about the Revlon Lip Butters and which colours would you get?

YAY, I tried out my newly bought Konad Stamping kit and here's how it looks *drumrolls*

TADA!

Sorry ofr the crappy picture, the pattern's a houndstooth pattern :D

ONCE AGAIN THE SHITTY QUALITY :'( [Konad black houndstooth pattern stamped over OPI's Panda-monium Pink)

 ANYWAYS, I LOVE IT :D

I kind of screwed the fourth nail, but it's pretty decent for my first attempt don;t you think so? I do :D

Hahas I've really got to go take a nap or something before my fever burns me up! I hope this post will make up for my long period of absence!

Have a great day!
