I only ordered four items so it came in a small black box. Oh and I think my package arrived 8 working days after the dispatched mail notification was sent to me, so I am really impressed. Sleek's website states that international orders will normally take about 10-15 days to arrive, so i was pretty happy it arrived so quickly! I did not collect the mail myself cause I was away, but my grandfather just happened to open my mailbox for my family while he was visiting and he left a note stating the date he brought this in. My grandfather is such a sweetheart, he doesn't live with us but he comes to our apartment all the time and whenever he does, he usually opens our mailbox and brings the letters up to our place, and he always calls when it rains to remind us to close our windows! Awww! Thank god he lives pretty close to us though! Otherwise he'd be travelling around like crazy (not that he doesn't already). OK onward!
Securely taped on all sides. TAPE MANIAC MWAHAHAHA. |
Greeted by lovely hot pink tissue. LOVE the color! |
Tada! The iconic sleek makeup white stock box! |
Here are my goodies! |
The packaging for the limited collection items is fantastic!
I am really satisfied with what I got! The colors are beautiful and super pigmented, easy to blend as well! Usually I wouldn't be drawn to a palette like Glory because of how bright and colorful it is, I'm more attracted to palettes with neutral or really dark colors. Glory is just not something I usually would pick up, but as I was online ordering my items I was like 'ah heck, it's limited edition' and immediately added this item to my cart. Boy I'm sure glad I did!

More info about the 2012 collection from sleek's website:
"Get into the spirit of the games in style with Sleek MakeUP's limited edition 2012 Collection, capturing London's most exciting event this summer. Featuring i-Divine in Glory, Blush in Honour and Pout Polish in Pride, it's everything you'll need to take you from day to night in true winning style."
The palette definitely does give me that Olympic feel, the colors reflect those of the olympic rings (or is it just me? *cue brow raise*) but the names match up to the London Tube line which is really interesting. I personally feel that when a cosmetic brand comes up with a collection that celebrates and appreciates a country, it usually makes the consumer feel more connected and appreciative of that country. Just my two cents. I really like how they named this palette and the eyeshadows and how the colors reflect the olympic games at the same time. Really really glad that I bought this! Awesome! Definitely looking forward to playing around with this palette!
Also from the 2012 collection is the Pride Pout Polish. It is the first pout polish to contain shimmer. It sure is gorgeous, I don't have a swatch with me but I'm pretty sure swatches of this product is all over the web now! It's a really gorgeous bronzy pink color with hints of brown and it has really fine shimmers, golden micro shimmer. It is not the kind of chunky glitter, it's really nice and fine, does not feel grainy on the lips at all and since I'm on a brown/plum tone lip colors kick, I absolutely fell in love with this! Like all other sleek pout polishes, it's really nourishing and hydrating on the lip and the color payoff if great (as always)!
I haven't really tried the primer palette yet, though I read a couple of beauty blogs about it and they all pretty much say the same thing: the palette is more of a base palette than a primer palette. I'll keep that in mind when I use it! The colors are brilliant though! The palette has a bit of everything, from a nice classic champagne color to white to black to a vibrant electric blue, they have it all! I reckon that they'll come in handy when I don't feel like using my nyx jumbo eye pencils!
Which product from the 2012 collection do you have your eye on or does every item from that collection float your boat?
That's all for now! Have a great weekend ahead! xoxo
