Friday Find - Flormar Long Wearing Lip Gloss in L416

 It's Friday and I'm finally taking a break for the week! I went walking around Clementi Mall after school with my friend Sarah, itching to find something to buy. I was originally looking for the new L'oreal Shine Caresse because I've read online that they're good dupes for the YSL glossy stains which I absolutely love, but they aren't out yet I think (no thanks to misleading magazine ads). Then I wanted to get the Revlon Ultimate Suede Lipsticks, but they are also not out yet (once again, misleading magazine ads). So we wandered around, going from one store to another until we ended up at BHG.

  I walked around and a particular shade of lipgloss caught my attention. I didn't buy the shade that I saw at first, but I am definitely getting that the next time I'm there. By the way the shade that I first saw was a dark purple, a tad darker than my Inglot slim gel lipstick in no. 65. Anyway, so when I was looking through the colors I saw that they had a very dark cherry red and I absolutely fell in love.

I just bought this not more than 3 hours ago, so I won't be able to review it. I'll just briefly describe the product. First, it has a flat doe-foot applicator like the Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss (which I've finished using up mine and chucked the tube away).

  The formula isn't too sticky at all, unlike M.A.C lipglasses, but it is thick. It also isn't oily. I think the formula is pretty decent. Another thing to note, the pigmentation of this is superb! I'm not a big fan of lip gloss because I've always felt that lip glosses are too sheer for my liking. Thus I have a ton of lipstick but only a measly 4 lip glosses. The pigmentation of this however, is just pure amazing! As I was putting it on I went like 'OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I LOVE THIS' so yeah, I've never been this impressed, ever, by any lip gloss. Definitely loving this more and more.As for the longevity of it, I really don't know because I haven't had enough time to test it out, but once I feel ready to give a verdict I'll update this post!

  That was just one swipe, no kidding! The thing is it is still this pigmented when put on the lips. Most times a lip gloss swatches really pigmented on the hand but turns out really sheer on the lips, this one doesn't! I promise.

  The best part? It's only SGD$10.90, I bought it for about $8 because it was 20% off. A Revlon/Maybelline/L'oreal lipgloss can easily set me back about $18, but this is half the price of drugstore lipglosses! I was telling Sarah that I've never seen this brand before and she went 'that's why it's sold at BHG, it's an aunty brand' so I never really expected anything spectacular from this when I bought it, but boy oh boy does it surprise me!

Update: Flormar Cosmetics are available at BHG in Clementi Mall, opposite the Bourjois Display. I'm not sure where else carries this brand though!

  It just started raining really heavily and I'm loving the weather.
