Polish picks of January 2013 + Long Overdue Giveaway

Happy New Year! I'm about a week late! Y'all are probably going 'Oh why she so stupid! It's past new year already!' Oh yes, I am stupid, and I also happen to be a shrinking violet. Wait, shrinking violet?

Right... Moving on!

As titled, here are my nail polish picks for the month of January. I've chosen 4 nail polishes, one of which I have worn and the other 3 I plan to wear. PSSSST, stay till the end for a giveaway!

 Numéro un. Zoya - Charla.

A gorgeous... HOLD UP. I am not good with describing colors. All I can say about this color is that it is absolutely amazing! It looks like a blackened emerald green in the photo, but in real life it's much lighter. It's green but it's blue, or rather, it is a blue polish with so much insanely pretty green sparkles to the point where it looks green under certain light. A good description? Might fine one in fact! (to me at least, pardon my stupidity) Besides, emerald green is the Pantone Color of the Year for 2013. Charla?

I wore Charla with Models Own's Dancing Queen Layered over it, not expecting anything amazing at first but BHAM it looks so awesome.

Horrid quality, I can't capture the glitters. I am so sorry!
I did that on a swatch stick because the polish on my nails now is just plain gnarly. You know what, I'll show my nails anyway.

Gross picture quality, gross nails.
Ew, nasty. I will remove it right after I finish up this post. Promise.

Numéro deux. China Glaze - Sunset Sail.

Peachy, sunny, beachy, yummy goodness. In a perpetually sunny island like Singapore? 'Nuff said.

Numéro trois. O.P.I - Casino Royale.

In case you were wondering, I recently bought a bunch of nail swatch sticks, hence the obsession. Besides, they are perfect for photographing plus they are easy to use and store.

Casino Royale. How do I even begin to describe this beautiful creation. I love crème polishes to no end. I am serious. Prior to buying casino royale, I owned a similar, Essie's Recessionista. Here is a side by side comparison.

Casino Royal bottom. Recessionista Top

HORRID QUALITY. I AM SO SORRY! :(

See what I mean by easy to photograph? Anyway, they are really similar but recessionista is a tad bit darker. Somehow, Casino Royal just looks better on my nails, and I've gotten so many compliments when I wore it. One of my friends said, 'Oh wow I love your nail color, so seductive.' Ooooh, I like seductive! *winks* Of course, who wouldn't find a deep rich plum color like this seductive! Start of the year seductive, perhaps I shall wear this color next!

Numéro quatre. China Glaze - High Hopes.

I plan to end of this month with a bright coral color. Just to end the month of with a bang. I love coral but I rarely ever do wear that color, so I've decided to wear it on my nails. I'm already waiting to do my nails with this but I shall exercise patience and wait til the last week of january! Ugh, isn't this just gorgeous?? This is awesome sauce. Literally. If nail polish could be ingested, this would be labelled awesome sauce and sold at all supermarkets world wide. I imagine that it'll taste like tobasco, but more awesome.

On to the giveaway, I chose 2 out of the 4 nail polishes that I've featured. High Hopes and Sunset Sail, because I think that these 2 best represent the patriotic Singaporean in me! (Uhm, right...) I kid, I just love China Glaze polishes and I want people to try them! Next time I have a nail polish giveaway I'll giveaway models own nail polish. My love story with M.O nail polishes will definitely be in another blog post. Now I'm going to shine the spotlight on the 2 beauties that I will be giving away.
