50 Things... This is going to be interesting!
1. I have a younger sister who is 4 years my junior.
2. I currently have 4 pet hamsters. 3 females and 1 male. My sister and I named them the females Fatty, Skinny, and Sleepy. The male? Pimp. No kidding.
3. I had my very first pet when I was 6. A goldfish that was given to me when I went on a school trip to some fish farm. It died 2 days after I got it, because seriously I was 6.
4. As a child, my parents have NEVER bought me ANY toys, by toys I mean dolls, plushies, legos, etc. My parents idea of children playthings are story books, educational computer games, and DIY craft books. I remember one of those craft books taught me how to make a paper parachute and I threw the parachute out my house's window.
5. I've lived in my current apartment for about 12 years now.
6. My previous house was this 2 storey maisonette. I lived there from I don't even know when until I was 6.
7. I can still very vividly describe my previous apartment. The layout, the furniture, and even how the stairs looked like.
8. When my parents had their own company, they had this fridge in their office. On the freezer door, there was this fridge magnet with a picture of a cartoon old man that looked like a pink version of mulan's ancestor in the movie. I was terrified by it and since the fridge was right next to the office entrance, I would cry, every single time I walked into the place. When I was sick of crying, I simply turned my head the other way and ran past the fridge. Silly. I know.
9. Up until I was about 9 or 10, my parents always brought me to the regional/community library on weekends. Without fail.
10. Remember what I said about me having educational computer games when I was a kid? My favourite games included Magic Schoolbus, Putt Putt games, and Freddi Fish games.
11. I abosolutely HATE celeries. Even the slightest smell of it makes me want to vomit.
12. I fractured my left upper arm when I was 10. I fell off the uneven bars.
13. Prior to my fracture, my mum never carried my school bag for me and she instructed my family members not carry my bag for me. When I got the fracture, that was the only time she carried my bag for me. Although, now when I think of it, my right arm was perfectly capable of carrying a bag.
14. I hate children. I get overwhelmed when I see a large group of children and I compare children to hamsters. A child or two is fine, cute even, just like hamsters. A huge group of them and I feel as though they are here to bite my heart out.
15. When people ask me for my favourite movie, I cannot name one because I love too many.
16. I can play the saxophone.
17. When I was in secondary school, I was in my school's display band. I played the alto sax from sec 1 till half of my sec 2 year. After that, I played the bari sax.
18. I was crazy for band to the point where I neglected my studies. My mum has always disapproved of me continuing my cca and I've always thought she was just being unreasonable. However when I was in sec 3, I made the decision to quit. I don't regret it one bit. Even though I miss band a whole lot, I still think it was the best decision I've ever made.
19. My sister had some operation when she was really really young, about 3 years old I think, and my grandmother told me that it was my fault. I've always believed it was, until last year she was like 'Remember when you were young I told you that you were the reason why your sister had to go for an operation? Well, I lied ahahahas!' My grandmother is so adorable.
20. My grandmother also told me that people vomit because they didn't chew their food properly. I believed her. Hey, I was like 4!
21. My feet are a size 38 EU. 7.5 US, and 5.5 UK. Everytime there is a shoe sale online, the shoes that I have my eye on are usually out of stock in my size. Life is unfair.
22. My grandmother was the one who introduced me to nail polish. Sassy :)
23. My dad and I built a worm farm when I was 9. I don't know what happened to it.
24. I have 15 perfumes, out of which, 12 I use as room sprays.
25. I am an impulsive buyer.
26. My favourite colour combination, Red, White, and Black.
27. I have never been good at doing mathematics.
28. I used to be in choir when I was in primary school.
29. I was at my fattest when I was 10. Not that I'm not fat now but... Yeah...
30. I consider myself to be polite in general. One of my biggest pet peeve is when people don't say 'Thank You', 'Please', 'Excuse Me', and 'You're Welcome'.
31. I am not scared of needles.
32. I like to watch when the doctor draws blood from me when I take a blood test. It's fascinating for me to see the blood flow into the test tube. WEIRDO I KNOW.
33. I secretly wish that I am as athletic as my sister. Don't tell her that.
34. I would love to live in Canada at some point in my life.
35. I live in Singapore.
36. I like eating out alone, sitting at a cafe alone, and commuting alone. I cannot stand it when people bug me to accompany them just because they are afraid to be alone.
37. I drink tea in the morning, every single day.
38. My sister and I share a room and we have a double decker bed. I sleep on the lower deck.
39. I love going to the dentist.
40. I can go absolutely CRAZY over Batman. I used to have a crush on Robin only when it was Dick Grayson. Then he became Nightwing and I was in love. Ermagerd. Geek alert.
41. I hate Starfire. I wished Dick Grayson had stuck with Barbara Gordon. All. His. Life.
42. Since we're on the topic of Batman, I love Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
43. I always sleep with a bolster. My grandmother made this bolster for me when I was a baby and I loved it so much. When I was 5, my mum wanted to throw it away because is was really torn and tattered. I hid the bolster so that she couldn't find it. I hid it so well, I couldn't find it too. Hilarious.
44. I hate running. OH MY GOD. Not even jogging. NO WAY.
45. If anyone sits on my bed without permission, I will go absolutely mental. No kidding, I will scream for them to get away from my bed. OCD much?
46. I love collecting vinyl records.
47. I never know how to react when a friend cries in front me. I've been told that I am brutally honest and realistic when it comes to giving advice so I've decided to just keep my mouth shut, listen, and nod along. I'm not really a girly girl when it comes to dealing with this kind of situations.
48. I am a pretty solitary person, I'm not one to be overly dependent on friends and I've never really had like an ULTIMATE best friend. It kind of bothered me when I was younger, but now it doesn't because I've come to terms that I am the kind of friend who's here when you need me but when you don't need me, I probably don't need you too. I tend to be better friends with people who are similar to me in that way.
49. I'm not interested in getting a boyfriend at the moment because of two reasons. 1) My parents disapprove 2) Even if they did approve, I don't want to commit myself to a relationship because I feel like a relationship will just tie me down and make me depressed. Sometimes I wonder if I have commitment issues.
50. Last but not least. I've kept a personal diary ever since I got my first notebook and pen when I was 6. At that age a pen was a HUGE DEAL because we were only allowed pencils in school! I have about 40 over notebooks containing ALL my daily diary entries. I plan to burn them before I die. JUICY STUFF MAN. No not really.
Done! It was pretty fun really, never expected to have taken so much time thinking about things pertaining to myself. This was kind of therapeutic! Heheheh.
Oh well, it's 12. Time to snuggle up and read a book! Have a great week ahead :)
xoxo
