L'oreal Hydra Fresh Mask-In Lotion

Guess I'm not too late to jump onto the Hydra Fresh bandwagon. Though truth be told, I knew nothing about the Hydra Fresh range. Only bought this because of the packaging.

I am a sucker for pretty packaging.

But when the product itself is amazing, well, we have a winner!

I must say that L'oreal does have great advertising and PR. Try googling this product and you'll find tons of Singaporean bloggers blogging about this.

Most of the time when I see bloggers posting about a product they received for free, I get kind of sceptical if they rave about the particular product. So thank the heavens I actually bought this before I even researched about it online.

It definitely is no miracle product like the SKII Miracle Water, but it does a pretty good job of locking in moisture for my skin. Dewy, bouncy skin for just $22.90? Hell yeah!

I actually wrote the first half of this post last year when I first bought it but I hesitated to post this up because I didn't know if it was good or not, so I waited it out... A lot.

I must say that this is absolutely worth it. Been so obsessed with this that I've almost bought the whole Hydrafresh range of skincare products! Double thumbs up for this one and it's staying permanently in my day and night skincare routine! If you have the chance to pick this up, go for it!

What are some of your skincare must haves??

Have a lovely day ahead!

Olay Advanced Cleansing System

I have things never-ending obsession when it comes to all sorts of beauty gadgets.

I just wanna try them, but almost never stick to using them regularly. The Neutrogena Wave's a fine example. I used it twice... Now it probably will never see the light of day.

Then there was the Clarisonic Plus, which I kind of liked but broke me out a little initially (though it might have just coincided with my monthly bad skin period. Period hah.). Now, I only use it every once it a while. I feel that the Clarisonic isn't worth what I paid for.

Well, so now that I've got my hands on the Olay advanced cleansing system (a.k.a the Olay Pro-X advanced cleansing system), I'm looking forward to see if I actually have the will to keep using it regularly this time.

"Is it time to rethink your daily cleansing routine? Designed by a team of dermatologists along with Olay, the Advanced Cleansing System is as effective as a system sold by skin professionals for nearly $200.* Professionally and clinically designed to cleanse 6 times better**, the Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System also sets your skin up for supersonic anti-aging moisturization."

*System with normal/dry cleanser.
**than basic cleansing

Olay claims that the Pro-X Cleansing System is professionally designed with the following  features:

1. 2-speed, rotating system delivers daily deep cleansing and gentle exfoliation.

2. Water resistant for use in the shower.

3. Soft replaceable brush head gentle on skin.

4. Exfoliating cleanser professionally designed to purify and renew skin's texture for refreshed, smooth       skin.

Looks suspiciously similar huh.

Anyhoo on to the Olay cleansing system.

Well this is what the brush head looks like. Nothing too special.

The bristles are soft and it feels comfortable on the skin. Doesn't feel abrasive at all, at least to me.

I somehow feel that the Olay Pro-X cleansing system cleanses a little bit better than the Clarisonic.

This little gadget has 2 speeds, though it really isn't that much of a difference. I always have it on the lower speed setting because that seems adequate.

This lathers my facial cleanser quite nicely and it does not splash as much as the Clarisonic which is surprising. Seeing that the Clarisonic has more of a oscillating movement while this rotates in one direction.

It is advised to change the brush heads every 2 - 3 months. Replacement heads are available at about SGD11.90 (i think) for a box of 2.

I've used this for about 3 days now, and I'm quite liking this. Makes my skin feels soft and smooth. And it feels like my skincare products get absorbed easier.

You know what's the best part? The price. It's only SGD 49.90, a fraction of the price of a Clarisonic.

I probably will get too lazy to use this regularly in about a week or two, but now that I'm using this regularly (twice a day), I'll see if this gives me any good results.

All in all, it's an okay item. A decent cheaper alternative to the Clarisonic. If you are not sure whether to get the Clarisonic or the Olay, I'd go with the Olay. There isn't that huge of a difference in results to justify getting a Clarisonic that costs 5 times more.

The Olay cleansing system is available at Watsons and on Luxola's website. I'm not too sure about Guardian or any other places.

Well, it's Sunday night right now, I should probably go wash my face! :)

Have a great week ahead!

Huge 'The Body Shop' Haul! + SALES. SALES EVERYWHERE.

I was just walking around the mall, minding my own business, hunting for food to quell my perpetual hunger and BHAM! The Body Shop has a huge sale at the mall atrium.

And since I had cash to spare, I figured that I might as well take advantage of the sale.
It was crazy good. Body butters going for S$19.90 (U.P. $30.90) Shower creams going at S$14.90 for 2 and S$10 for 2 on selected shower gels.
I may have gotten a LITTLE bit trigger happy...

Heheheh, I had that huge grin on my face after paying for these items. You know the kind of feeling when you've just gotten a whole bunch of goodies for Christmas. Yeah. I was ecstatic.

I need to assess damages. So here's what I got:

-6 Body butters
-6 shower creams/gels
-3 Detangling sprays
-2 body lotions
-1 body scrub
-1 day cream
-1 pore minimiser
-3 mini strawberry scented shower gels (free gifts)

Body butters at S$19.90 each (U.P. S$30.90)

Body scrubs at S$19.90 each, larger tubs at S$25 (U.P. S$30.90 for the regular sized tubs)

Selected shower gels at $10 for 2, and shower creams at 2 for S$14.90 (U.P. S$12.90)

Rainforest Radiance Detangling Spray for Coloured Hair S$10.90 (U.P. S$20.90)

Free with nett purchase of S$50
Apple Blossom Body Lotion $5 each with nett purchase of S$30. Limited to 3 per customer.

The pore minimiser and the seaweed mattifying day cream I got 3 days prior to the sale at 15% off because I'm a star member of TBS. So I'm not too sure of the price that they are going for in the atrium sales.

The raspberry scented products were limited edition (according to them) and you can't find those in TBS stores. So are the blueberry ones but I didn't find the blueberry ones to be as nice as the raspberry ones.

I spent a total of S$278.80 on 20 products. This averages to S$13.94 for each item. HOLY AMAZING GOODNESS. If I were to buy everything at full price it'd be approx. S$439. Wow. Wow. Wow.

The best part is that the sale will go on until the 22nd of September. I can go stock up on whatever else I need/want until then!

Before I forget, the sale is held at the main atrium of Causeway Point Shopping Centre at Woodlands!

Speaking of a good sale, LUXOLA is having a huge Birthday Sale Starting tomorrow! Everything is at 30% off!

Recently Luxola has seen lots of new brands joining them. Zoeva, Olay, Joey Healy, just to name a few. Plus, the all time favourite Deborah Lippmann polishes are back and better than ever! If you're looking to get some goodies for cheapz, head on to http://www.luxola.com tomorrow, Wednesday 18th September!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and have a great week ahead!
