Hey lovely people! There's a new movie coming up and I'm excited to watch it because of multiple reasons.
Mila Kunis looking fab
Nail polishes. Nuff said
James Franco
I love anything related to the Wizard of Oz. No joke. I've been a book junkie all my life. There is no way I could have missed out on 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. I know, I know, you might say 'But this isn't the first adaptation made! The older adaptations are good as well, maybe even better!'
Call it an obsession, but I am and ardent film geek. I love watching movies. From black and white films to silent films to foreign films. The only genre I don't really watch is romance films, too cheesy. But that is besides the point.
I'd watch anything that has something to do with The Wizard of Oz. Even cartoons, yes. So I'm super excited to see this movie!
However, what really excites me is the Director of this movie, Sam Raimi.
Does that name ring a bell to you?
He directed 3 movies that almost everyone knows. Spiderman, Spiderman 2, and Spiderman 3. It just so happens that I'm a comic geek too. Being in Mass Comm really taught me a whole lot about Directing a Film or even a short. It takes a lot of hard work and creativity. Kudos to all Directors out there.
Sam Raimi... Where do I even begin! In addition to the Spiderman franchise, he also Directed 'Drag Me to Hell' and he produces a bunch of horror movies. Props to him!
Really looking forward to see what he has done with this movie. Dang, I really can't wait for this!
If that isn't a good enough reason to watch it, I'm sure this is!

Oz the Great & Powerful inspired makeup palettes by Urban Decay. I am so going to get my hands on these little pretty ones! Super into the Theodora palette right now. The movie is motivating me to get these. Even if I didn't want to watch it in the first place, I'm sure I'll watch it after getting the palettes. Either way I will watch this movie! Hah!
Sadly this isn't available in Singapore yet so I can only wait in the meantime. Oh dang...
By the way, here's a synopsis of the movie.
When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot -fame and fortune are his for the taking- that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity -and even a bit of wizardry- Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
