Ugh, I really have been putting off doing these luxola stuff for a while. I feel really really bad because there are just so many new things worth sharing and I've just been way too lazy. So any way, here's a new product (well, relatively new now...) that can be found on luxola's website, the Tangle Teezer!
I remember when I was younger I had long hair that was like in a perpetual mess of knots and kinks. I'm serious, my sister has that problem too. I swear it runs in the family. Now I'm pretty much the only person in my family with hair past the shoulders. I don't have that huge of a tangling problem now compared to the past, but once in a while I wake up to really tangled hair. Talk about a sexy bedhead, I'll never have that. Sigh pie.
Anyway here's more about Tangle Teezer. According to them,
" Tangle Teezer is a ground-breaking detangling hairbrush brand that makes peace with hair that readily falls into a tangled mess, fast dashing head turning condition and shine. Its genius is in the design that delivers a different kind of stroke. The patented teeth flex just the right amount to de-stress, detangle and smooth the hair’s cuticle. It’s the UK’s fastest growing hairbrush with over 5 million Tangle Teezers having been sold globally. "
Sound promising, so of course I wanted to get it. Then guess what? I got it as a gift! Well, not a gift for me, someone gave it to my sister as a birthday gift, not realising that she has short hair now so it's pretty useless to her.
Like that one time I was shopping with my friends at ION Orchard and I decided to get some hair ties for my sister. When I cam home I handed a bunch to her and she looked at me like I was crazy, then I realised she had short hair.
Genius.
Right, basically what I meant to say is that I got my hands on it and decided that there's no harm giving it a try. Well, it worked pretty good. I own a fair share of detangling brushes and this has got to be one of the more affordable ones. I think my Kent brush from Watson costs about $34+ but I'm not too sure, just something huge like that. The Tangle Teezer, though not priced at a crazy cheap price, costs $26.90. Still cheaper than my other brushes, so it's definitely a plus point. The Tangle Teezer manage to detangle my hair, and guess what! No breakages! Hair falling out is one thing, perfectly normal, but sometimes (well most times) stubbornly brushing out the tangles can lead to breakage and the Tangle Teezer shows no such tragedy. Impressed. It's not like I'm super careful when I'm brushing out my hair, I just wanna get it done with asap. Verdict? Worth the money, but then again I didn't pay for it so... Verdict? Worth getting.
Besides, the Tangle Teezer had its fair share of golden fans. You know, celebs.
"Victoria Beckham’s stylist Ben Cooke uses it on her (and the kids!), Lara Stone said “Tangle Teezer changed my life. My hair’s really knotty...Normal hairbrushes make it go all fluffy but my friend gave me a Tangle Teezer and now I take it with me everywhere”, (Marie Claire Magazine). Jessie J has been photographed out and about with her Tangle Teezer at the ready. Kate Hudson and The Olsen Twins famously use their Tangle Teezers and Sam McKnight said in Vogue “I can’t live without it”. Celebrity Hair Colourist at John Freida, Nicola Clark, used it all the time and gave one to Kate Winslet for her to carry on using and it has just been featured on Grazia Daily Online as THE brush used backstage for the Marc Jacobs runway show in NYC."
Interesting... Well, you're definitely getting a nod from the celebs if you use it so, why not?
Also, this brush has won lots and lots of awards.
