Models Own Velvet Goth Collection

  Hello late night blog posts. Because an interesting nightlife is non-existent for me.

  Anyway, I'm am back today with some new nail polishes (finally)! I've been super psyched for these little darlings every since they came out, and since shipping from the Models Own website to SG is helluva expensive, I had to wait until Luxola had them in stock. Which really did not take long.

  These babies retail for S$12 each on the site.

  I opted for delivery on 9-9-2013 during the timeslot of 2pm to 6pm, but the delivery man came knocking at around 1130 in the morning. Yayness! That was a great way to start the day. I am a late riser. I woke up at around 11 today so... yeah.

  That being said, I actually just tore into all that bubble wrap half awake. Trust me when I say that pen knifes do not go with half awake humans. I can't work that knife properly to save my life.

  And of course I had to take pictures in the midst of unwrapping my polishes.

  Priorities.

  One thing to note: I really love the velvet tops. Really, I do. I can just caress the caps. All day, err' day.

The colours are:

  Sardonyx (Red)

  Amethyst (Purple)

  Obsidian (Black)

  Valerian (Blue)

  Absinthe (Teal)

  Damn I really love this. If you have ever read my previous blog posts, you would know that I don't exactly have a love affair with purples. Amethyst was definitely a 'on the fence' thing for me because I really didn't feel like getting a purple. BUT, for the sake of owning the whole collection, I got it. Because, hoarder tendencies.

  Besides, the bottles are nice.

  Now I'm just making up reasons to justify my purchase. Moving on.

  I'm actually pleasantly surprised with Amethyst. I am not joking. I actually kind of like it. Heaven forbid that I'll actually ever admit to legitimately liking this purple polish. I guess it's because it's a darker purple, and dark polishes look better on me. I still hate pinks.

  Right now I have all the colours painted on each finger of my left hand and I love it. Really I'm just too lazy to remove them and they look pretty decent as a manicure.

  Shynie is on my lap trying to sleep, but the furious tapping of keyboard keys is making her cringe a little every single time. 

HAHAHAS I'm actually enjoying it whenever she cringes a little.

  Boooooo, back to what I was saying.

  The polishes are pretty decent. I am really bad at giving myself a decent manicure.

  Bubbling. Enough said.

  But these polishes really don't give me any problems. Glitter polishes tend to conceal bubbles better than creme polishes. I love cremes but they can be so unforgiving most of the time.

  All in all, I am really loving the velvet goth collection right now and I cannot pick my favourite of the five. I'll probably know when I notice the colour that I wear most often. I'm going to go ahead and guess that it'll be Valerian.

  That is all for today before my brain goes into overdrive and I start rambling about nothing in particular.

  I really want a new foundation. Any recommendations? I have really oily skin and I really don't know what to do with it. Pains of being an oily human being.

YES I REALLY NEED TO STOP.
